Nu metal giants Linkin Park have announced a huge 2014 tour, with support from 30 Seconds To Mars and AFI. Not bad having a recent Oscar winner as your warm-up act...
The bands announced the tour at a press conferences in Hollywood yesterday (4 March 2014), with a string of US live shows announced for 2014, named the Carnivores tour. No UK dates have been announced, but British fans are hoping the bands will bring the tour to our shores at a later date.
"We share a lot of fans," said Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park as they announced tour plans. "When I listen to the radio, I don’t hear a lot of that visceral guitar rock right now. I feel like this is a great moment for these bands to come together and hit the road."
"This is a dream come true," said Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars, who this week won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. "To stand on a stage in front of the Linkin Park army and the Mars army…it’s going to be an incredible adventure. It’s a meeting of the minds and something people are not going to want to miss. An orgy of art and music."
