A backing singer who recently starred in an Oscar-winning documentary has claimed David Bowie has offered to write new music with her.
Claudia Lennear, who was reportedly romantically involved with Bowie in the 70s, claims her alleged ex-flame called her "out of the blue" to propose the idea of them working together again. Lennear recently starred in the Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom, which details the lives of backing singers.
"I got a call from David Bowie out of the blue two days ago," Lennear told the New York Post. "I couldn’t believe it when I first heard his voice. We haven’t seen each other in 20 years...He told me he wanted to write my next project."
"This is bringing so many gifts back from my past," she said, adding that she "will definitely hold David [Bowie] to his promise".
