Lorde has revealed Bruce Springsteen's recent cover of her global smash 'Royals' made her go "a little teary".
The Boss covered the New Zealand singer's signature track during a recent show in, fittingly, Auckland, New Zealand, and Lorde learnt of the cover whilst playing a stop in Austin, US on her sell-out North American tour.
"My Twitter went mental. Everyone in New Zealand was like 'You can't believe what just happened!'," Lorde told News.com.au. "It was so exciting. It was the highest honor. He's such an incredible songwriter. I got a little teary. It was very cool."
"It's crazy when someone like that is covering your song," she continued. "Those words were nothing before I put them into my laptop and started messing around with them in the studio. It's crazy to me they could come out of someone's mouth who is that respected."

Meanwhile, sales of Lorde's debut Pure Heroine recently reached the 1 million mark, a feat the singer said she was "pumped" by. She's the first female artist to achieve shift 1 million copies of a debut since Adele's 19.
