Rihanna has been named the most streamed female artist in the world, according to a new list compiled by Spotify.
The list was put together as part of International Women's Day, which takes place today (8 March.) Rihanna took 1st place, with Katy Perry and Lana Del Rey taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
The singer has been making music for nearly ten years - her first album Music of the Sun was released back in 2005, and since then she's recorded six more globally successful LPs. Her most recent album, Unapologetic, was released in 2012, and has sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

This is the second year in a row that Rihanna has topped the list, and Spotify has also confirmed that she was the most popular female artist in the UK. Rihanna is set to record a concept album later this year based around Dreamworks' upcoming animated film 'Home.'
