A Nirvana fan from Portland is attempting to raise $700,000 (£423,114) in donation money, and is hoping to turn Kurt Cobain’s childhood home into a museum.
The 33-year-old journalist, Jaime Dunkle, has launched a formal campaign to help turn Cobain’s childhood home in Aberdeen, WA into a museum.
The devoted fan is hoping to raise at least $700,000 via her GoFundMe page.
So far, at the time of publishing this story, the page has raised $150 - so still a long way off target...

Possessions in the house, which includes original bedroom hangings, a mattress and other items have already been sold for $500,000 by Cobain’s mother Wendy O’Connor and sister Kim Cobain last year.
This year will be the 20th anniversary since Kurt Cobain’s death. Nirvana will also be introduced into the Rock Hall of Fame in April.
