As Kate Bush returns to announce her first live shows in over 35 years, demand for tickets to her London residency looks set to outstrip some her biggest modern day contemporaries.

Leading ticket website Viagogo even predict that Bush will overtake Beyonce in the race for the fastest-selling female act of 2014.

According to viagogo, ticket searches for the 'Wuthering Heights' singer have soared by a staggering 432% since the tour was announced this morning and that’s even before tickets go on sale, with the Before The Dawn shows instantly becoming the most popular music event on the site as demand immediately outstripped that for Lady Gaga and Katy Perry combined by 3 to1.

A viagogo spokesman said: "Kate Bush has a rarity value because she hasn’t toured in 35 years. The massive demand to see her live looks set to make her the fastest selling female artist of 2014 on viagogo, leaving Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry trailing in her wake."

Tickets go on sale at 9.30am on Friday 28 March, 2014. For more information visit Gigwise gig tickets.
