Arcade Fire have issued a plea for the return of one of their giant bobble head masks, which was stolen by a fan after a show in Bridgeport last Tuesday (March 18).

The gigantic, rather creepy masks were worn by the band in their video for 'Reflektor' and have also been sported during their current Reflketor arena tour. The stolen paper mache mask in question belonged to guitarist Richard 'Reed' Parry, and the band have now released a statement asking the fan to return said head.

"Richy’s bobblehead mask was taken from our show in Bridgeport, CT," reads the statement. "This mask is a one of a kind piece that is an essential component to our live show. We have photos of the theft but rather than press charges we would prefer if the person who took it would get in touch with us to return it.

"Perhaps this is all an innocent mistake and you meant to leave the venue with your own oversized paper mache rendition of Richard Parry’s head? Please contact: info@quest-management.com with any information."

Meanwhile, Arcade Fire's Reflektor tour, which has seen the band cover a variety of tracks from the likes of Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder and John Mayer, rumbles on with one mask missing (for now). The band will hit UK shores for two dates at London's Earls Court June 6 and 7, before headlining Glastonbury later that month.
