2014 is shaping up to be one hell of a year for rock music, with some serious legends currently working hard in the studio for Q4 releases. For some of these bands it has been up to eight years since their last release and as such how they might redefine their sound is hugely important, both to fans and the music scene.
In many ways the age-old question of whether guitar music could be coming back, could become a reality. In particular some of the material that we have heard is very guitar focused, stripping out a lot of the electronic production elements that have become fashionable over the last five years.
Basically you should be getting ready to rock, because by the close of the year the giants of rock, (old and new) will be back in the limelight.
