One of the most unlikely friendships in music has been revealed in the form of Burial and pop star Ellie Goulding.
Goulding claimed to be mates with the enigmatic producer - despite only meeting him a few times - during an interview with Billboard magazine. She states that he is an amazing person, that she has taken a lot from how happy his music makes people and that each experience she had with him was "intense".
"Burial's one of the most wonderful people I've ever met," she said. "We stay in touch, and this sounds super weird, but he kind of looks over me in a weird way... He's just one of those remarkable people that you come across that are so rare—he's so shy and quiet, but he's really hard to explain. I'm constantly fascinated by him."

"I've only had a few encounters with him, but they were really intense. I may never see him again, but we stay in touch constantly... I think it's [his decision not to perform live] so admirable. Obviously I make money for what I do and promote myself, but I always remember him, in everything. The nobleness of it, where you're just making music and making people happy… I use a bit of that for myself."
Burial otherwise known as Will Bevan is a very reclusive producer responsible for some of the most game changing productions of the last ten years. After remaining anonymous for years he chose to step into the limelight in January with a selfie and a statement to fans.
