Can it be summer already please? We're just itching to get out in the fields with some cider, some sunshine and some amazing music. When festival season kicks off, you know it's begun - but the magic of Bestival doesn't come until September. We really can't wait much longer, as they keep making it more and more awesome.

Having recently announced the BBC 6 Music Big Top as well as the Grand Palace of Entertainment, one of the last summer festivals of 2014 is also shaping up to be one of the best.

What a line-up. With headline slots from disco godfathers Chic, hip-hop heroesOutkast, college rock king Beck and indie champions Foals, it's going to be one hell of a summer on the Isle Of Wight. But that's not all. There's also confirmation of Peter Hook, Bonobo, Darkside, Cate Le Bon, Disclosure, Busta Rhymes Chvrches, London Grammar, Major Lazer and more - with still loads to be announced. But Bestival isn't just about the music - there's a certain something about that magical lost weekend down at Robin Hill County Park that you just won't find anywhere else.

From the curiosities in every corner to the annual fancy dress theme, Bestival is always the place to be. Here are 29 reasons why you simply can not miss Bestival 2014.
