Deadmau5 has been announced as the last minute headliner of Ultra Music Festival, after Avicii was forced to pull out following his hospitalisation on Thursday (27 March).
The producer is set to close the main stage of the dance festival tonight (29 March), filling in after Avicii was rushed to hospital and consequently cancelled his headlining slot.

The Swedish DJ, whose real name is Tim Bergling, was taken to a Miami hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea and fever. In a statement, Avicii's representative said he "has been diagnosed as having a blocked gall bladder, and is currently being evaluated for a potential surgery to remove his gall bladder."
Following the announcement, Deadmau5 took to Twitter to say, "well, stranger shit has happened...thats for sure. but, glad i could help a friend out and be with my fans tomorrow night :) [sic]."
Ultra Music Festival takes place in Miami, Florida, and this year plays hosts to acts such as Afrojack, Nicky Romero, David Guetta and Fedde Le Grand.
