Avicii is recovering from emergency appendix and gallbladder surgey after he was forced to cancel his headline slot at Ultra Music Festival.
The Swedish DJ, whose real name is Tim Bergling, was rushed to hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea and fever, and was diagnosed as having a blocked gallbladder. During the operation, it was discovered that he also had a ruptured appendix on top of his gallbladder, and both were removed.
Bergling tweeted the news from his hospital bed, and assured fans that he is "on the road to recovery."

The DJ, who produced hit singles such as 'Levels', 'Hey Brother' and 'Addicted To You', was scheduled to headline the Ultra Music Festival on Thursday (27 March), but following his hospitalisation, was replaced by Deadmau5.
