What a difference a reality show can make for a band. When Kaiser Chiefs released The Future Is Medieval in 2011 the album only just made the Top Ten. Now, the band are set for a No.1 this week with new release, Education, Education, Education and War, after frontman Ricky Wilson's successful stint on The Voice UK.
The band are on course to knock X Factor winner Sam Bailey from No.1, after she hit No.1 last week. Bailey drops to No.2 on the midweek chart with The Power Of Love, while collection of previously unheard Johnny Cash material, Out Among The Stars, enters at No.3. George Michael's Symphonica is at No.4 and Christina Perri's Head Or Heart enters at No.5. Steel Panther enter at No.6 with All You Can Eat, while Band Of Skulls are new at No.14 with Himalayan.
Lacuna Coil enter at No.27 with Broken Crown Halo, The Robert Cray Band's In My Soul is at No.29 and Runrig's new live collection, Party On The Moon, is new at No.30.

On the singles chart, Aloe Blacc is set for a No.1 single with his new track 'The Man', knocking Duke Dumont to No.2. John Legend is at No.3 with 'All Of Me' and John Martin enters at No.4 with his new single, 'Anywhere For You'.
Paolo Nutini enters at No.11 with his new single 'Scream (Funk My Life Up)', and Shakira enters at No.20 with her single, 'Empire'. The Klaxons return with their new single, 'There Is No Other Time' at No.33, and Frankie Knuckles returns to the Top 40 with his classic track, 'Your Love' at No.35, after an online campaign following his tragic death this week.
