Arctic Monkeys have revealed whilst they approve of frontman Alex Turner's notable increase in confidence and attitude, they think it's also "freaked people out".
In an interview with Esquire, guitarist Jamie Cook described the change in Turner's personality since the release of their debut Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, eight years ago.
"Alex has evolved from being quite shy, quite kind of quiet," Cook said. "Like, some people have got freaked out by the change. But I think it's much better the way he is now."

The comments come after Turner's bizarre appearance at February's BRIT Awards, during which he made a long, rambling speech about rock music and purposefully dropped his microphone on the floor when he was finished.
Many criticised the musician's "arrogant" attitude, but Turner told Esquire he doesn't actually enjoy being the centre of attention. "I'm in a difficult position in the sense that, preposterous as this might sound, I don't like being the centre of attention.
"I get up on stage every night and play songs, but I almost feel the songs are the centre of attention. I don't like opening my birthday presents in front of people, either," he added.
Set to play a string of festival dates this summer, Arctic Monkeys recently confirmed a headlining slot at Chicago's Lollapalooza. The band will also be appearing at Reading and Leeds, Pinkpop, Osheaga Music Festival, T in the Park, Rock en Seine, Roskilde and more. Phew.
