A charity will host a sponsored abseil from Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage in September, it has been announced.
Somerset's SOS Africa charity is inviting members of the public to scale the iconic, 100 ft structure to raise money for the organisation - with participants dressed as their favourite musicians.
On September 20 and 21, teams of six will climb the stage, which was constructed in 2000, before abseiling from its roof.
If you don't have a fear of heights, feel confident your team can raise at least £2000 and are available September 20 or 21 why not take part? Prospective abseilers can contact SOS Africa by email (info@sosafrica.com) or calling (01749 344197, 9-5, Monday to Friday) with the name of their team and their preferred abseiling time slot (9am - 7pm on September 20 and 21).
There's a £10 entry fee per person; cheques can be sent to SOS Africa, 21 High Street, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 5AA.
All funds raised will go towards SOS Africa's Aftercare Centre which provides care for SOS Africa children after school.
