Locked away in Communion's studios in Crouch End, Van McCann frontman of Catfish and the Bottlemen, leans back on his chair and explains that 'Homesick', like many of their tracks is about a girl. This song in particular is about missing his girlfriend who he is frequently away from due to the band's touring schedule. Because they miss each other they frequently fight, which makes up the subject matter for 'Homseick'.
A heartfelt and guitar driven track, 'Homesick' contains a mixture of excellent vocal harmonisation from the band, complimented by some serious riffing and an epic solo to conclude. It's a huge sound that points to the Bottlemen having a big future ahead of them.
Their debut album is in the works and their single 'Kathleen' is currently tearing up MTV's Top Ten Biggest Tracks and is getting some serious rotation on the Radio 1 playlist.
