Manic Street Preachers debuted another new track from their upcoming album, Futurology, at Brixton Academy in London last night (Friday 11 April, 2014). Watch the band performing 'Let's Go To War' below.

The band have been playing two new tracks, 'Europa Geht Durch Mich' and the title track from Futurology, throughout their current tour. After frontman James Dean the crowd that the new album would be out in June, bassist Nicky Wire introduced the live debut by saying: "Please excuse me if I fuck it up. This is a nice marching song, it's called 'Let's Go To War'."

The track is a fitting but bitter call to arms, with the dark military post-punk stomp of their Holy Bible era but with the stadium-ready anthemics of their latter day work. We were there, and trust us when we say it sounds nothing less than monumental.

During the gig, Wire also told the crowd that they 'hadn't decided' if they were going to playing gigs to mark the 20th anniversary of their seminal third album, The Holy Bible, but we bloody hope they do.

The band are currently on fine form. Read our full review of the show here
