Pharrell broke down in tears whilst discussing the success of his hit 'Happy' in a frank interview with Oprah on April 13.
The pair were chatting about the worldwide success of the musician's first solo single in years, with Pharrell describing how the track blew up when his team uploaded the video to YouTube. "We put out the video, and then BOOM," he explained. "And when I say boom, I mean boom."
Oprah then showed the musician and producer a montage of fans from all over the world dancing to the track, and Pharrell choked up, crying what we'll assume to be tears of joy. "It's overwhelming because I love what I do, and I appreciate the fact that people have believed me in for so long that I can make it to this point," he said.

The interview was aired following Pharrell's career-spanning performance at Coachella, where he brought out the likes of Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg and Nelly onstage to perform some of his most famous tracks.
