Sky Ferreira has spoken about her friendship with Miley Cyrus, and what it's like to support the star on her controversial Bangerz tour, in new interview.
Speaking to BuzzFeed, Ferreira revealed how she and Cyrus met at the end of 2013, and "clicked right away". "Miley is a girly girl, but she also isn’t. She likes putting on makeup, she likes sexy clothes and stuff, but she’s pretty down," Ferreira explained. "This term is so stupid, but she’s down to earth."
Ferreira also defended Cyrus' new, provocative image, insisting there's no pushy management types orchestrating her racy persona.
"People think there are people telling Miley to do something, about her sexuality, or whatever people trip over," she said. "They don’t realize that she knows what she wants to do, and she does it. Pop music is provocative - I don’t really see what the big deal over it is."

Revealing how she was booked as the opening act for the Bangerz tour because Miley "liked my album and listens to it, which is cool", Ferreira added touring with Miley and 'I Love It' duo Icona Pop is a "lot of fun", and "a girl power tour".
Ferreira, who recently released her debut LP Night Time, My Time, is due to continue to appear on the Bangerz tour until it heads to the UK in May.
