Arctic Monkeys' AM album has been revealed as the biggest selling album from the UK's independent record stores over the last 12 months, with Daft Punk and Robbie Williams close behind.
In celebration of Record Store Day 2014, which takes place tomorrow (19 April), the Official Charts Company launched the Official Record Store Chart today. The chart counts down the 40 biggest selling albums that the British public have been buying in record shops throughout the UK since last year's Record Store Day.
Arctic Monkey's AM topped the list, with Daft Punk's Random Access Memories at No.2 and Robbie Williams' Swings Both Ways at No.3. Also in the top 10 are London Grammar, Queens Of The Stone Age, Gary Barlow, Rod Stewart, National, One Direction and Ellie Goulding.

All three albums at the top of the list premiered at No.1 in the UK album chart, with Arctic Monkeys becoming the first independent-label band to debut at No.1 in the UK with their first five albums.
