The White House has finally responded to a petitition calling for Justin Bieber to be deported - saying they "won't be commenting on this one."
The petition, which was created in January and is listed on the White House's official website 'We The People', has had just over 273,000 signatures - well surpassing the 100,000 necessary for a response.
The petition reads: "We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked."
The White House have now issued an official response to the petition, saying: "Sorry to disappoint, but we won't be commenting on this one."
Their response draws attention to the terms of participation, which state that "the White House may decline to address certain procurement, law enforcement, adjudicatory, or similar matters."
It adds: "So we'll leave it to others to comment on Mr. Bieber's case, but we're glad you care about immigration issues. Because our current system is broken. Too many employers game the system by hiring undocumented workers, and 11 million are living in the shadows."
The Canadian singer has courted much controversy in the past year, after he was arrested in Miami Beach for alleged driving under the influence and illegal drag racing. He was also charged with assaulting a limo driver in December 2013.
