Muse frontman Matt Bellamy invited the band's huge audience at their second Coachella headline show of 2014 to sing 'Happy Birthday' to his fiancee, Kate Hudson. Which they did, of course...
Muse headlined on Saturday 19 April at the huge California festival, which took place across two weekends this month. They previously topped the bill on Saturday 12 April, during which the band battled a sandstorm during their desert show. They joined Arcade Fire and the newly reunited Outkast to top the bill at one of America's biggest festivals.
"It's my girlfriend's birthday today. Her name is Kate, she's out there somewhere," Bellamy told the audience during their second Coachella gig. "I want everyone to sing Happy Birthday to her."
Muse have recently revealed that they are due to begin work on their seventh studio album, but despite pleas from fans, have no plans to mark their 20th anniversary.
"We're going to start this year," said drummer Dom Howard. "(Coachella) is our last two gigs, then we're completely done for touring this album. We're going to go back in May and start working on some new stuff, so I think we'll start making it this year."
He added: "If we can get something out this year, that would be great, but definitely next year."
