Linkin Park are currently grafting hard in the studio, working on their sixth studio album The Hunting Party. If all reports are to be believed it looks like the LP could be a career defining moment for the band, one that once again sees them pushing the envelope and proving despite what doubters say, they remain hugely important to the rock world.
The direction the band are moving in could alienate some fans but at the same time with it's bold approach could make it the rock album of the year. As Shinoda said in a recent interview with The Noisey: "I heard a great quote by Nas around that time. He said that every once and a while he likes to make a project to shake off his pop fans. To intentionally get rid of them. If you’re a casual Nas listener, he’s going to let you know at a certain point that you’re not welcome to his party."
