Bookmaker Paddy Power has suspended all betting on who will be the Saturday night headliner at this year's Glastonbury festival, following rumours of an Oasis reunion and the confirmed return of The Libertines.
Odds on Oasis taking the Saturday night slot at this year's festival had been slashed from 10/1 to 3/1 in recent weeks, while Libertines odds of headlining had been 25/1 before the bookmaker stopped taking bets on who would join Arcade Fire and Kasabian at the top of the bill. Betting was previously suspended by a number of bookmakers on Kasabian performing at the festival in the weeks leading up to the announcement of their Sunday night headline slot.
"We had a market on the Glastonbury headline acts for the Saturday evening but following Liam Gallagher Twitter teasing yesterday evening the betting was suspended," said a Paddy Power spokesperson in a statement to Gigwise.
Oasis speculation was begun this week (24 April 2014) when Liam Gallagher posted five letters on Twitter - O, A, S, I and S. Britpop fans quickly went into meltdown over what this could mean, although no official confirmation of a reunion has been announced.

What has been confirmed today (25 April 2014) however, is that The Libertines will reunite to perform a huge gig in London's Hyde Park this summer. They will play a show as party of the Barclaycard British Summertime Series on 5 July, with support from the likes of The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park, Wolf Alice, The Enemy, Reverend And The Makers, I Am Kloot, The View and The Twang.
