Courtney Love has spoken out about the recent 'reunion' of Nirvana for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame - and it looks like she approves.
Last month, the grunge icons took to the stage once more, performing with the likes of Joan Jett, St Vincent, Lorde and Kim Gordon in place of Kurt Cobain during their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, before then playing an epic 19-song set at a secret show with more guests afterwards.
Now, in a new interview with Pitchfork, Cobain's widow Love was asked if the all-female fronted line-up made sense to her.
"Not at first. Initially, I thought it was sexist, and a little bit ghettoizing," she said. "But then I was like, 'no, Kurt would have loved this'. And there’s reality to it.
"Apparently, no high profile dudes wanted to do it. It’s interesting, isn’t it? I mean, I don’t know where Lorde is going. I like the St. Vincent girl a lot—I looked at some of her YouTubes and I like her look, her attitude, her whole thing. She was pretty cool, especially for being as nervous as she probably was.
Love added: "But I am telling you—the Kim Gordon moment was so punk. Kim gave the punkest performance, the one that Kurt would’ve approved of the most. It was the punkest thing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has ever seen. I was really proud of that."

Following mixed reaction from fans, Novoselic wrote a blog post on why the female artists were chosen.
"I feel we conjured the spirit of the band, and we could not have done that alone," he wrote. "This, for me, is a bittersweet notion as we all miss Kurt so much. But considering we were inducted, the show had to go on. Joan Jett was first on my list to be out front. I spoke to Dave about it and he ran with the idea of having all women lead. We felt that would be a good tribute to Kurt and what Nirvana was about."
The ceremony also saw the band inducted by Michael Stipe, before Cobain's widow Courtney Love set aside their differences to huge Grohl and Novoselic on stage.
