Coldplay's Chris Martin dedicated the band's classic track 'Fix You' to Rolling Stones' frontman Mick Jagger at a New York gig last night (Monday 5 May, 2014).

Billboard reports that Martin, who himself is currently recovering from a highly-publicised split from actress Gwyneth Paltrow, paid tribute to Jagger in light of the loss of his long-term partner, fashion designer L'Wren Scott, who died earlier this year. Her memorial was held in New York last week.

"It's for Mick Jagger," said Martin, introducing the slow-tempo, tear-jerking track about support, heartache and recovery at NYC's Beacon Theatre.
