A new Rihanna album is due to be announced soon, following confusion over whether the star had jumped ship from Def Jam to sign up with Roc Nation instead.
US magazine Complex stated on the weekend that the 'Diamonds' superstar would release her eighth studio album on Jay Z's Roc Nation and to again work with the rapper, who initially auditioned and signed the singer in 2003. It is currently unclear where exactly Rihanna is signed, but The Hollywood Reporter claims that Rihanna is now a 'frontline' artist with Roc Nation, and that Def Jam will still be involved in her future work.
Sources for the star have also told Billboard magazine that an announcement on Rihanna's next release is expected 'soon'. Maybe she will start spending less time uploading mildly controversial photos to Instagram and a little more in the studio.
The singer recently had her account on the social network suspended after uploading a number of 'revealing' shots (ie, pictures of her breasts) from magazine shoots, which were in breach of the network's deceny guidelines.
