Albert Hammond Jr clearly has fine taste in support bands, and has been joined by rising Canadian electropop five-piece Nightbox at his current UK gigs. Already masters of slick, soaring electropop, they have today premiered an impressive cover version of Disclosure's debut hit, 'Latch'. Listen below.
Nightbox's version of 'Latch' brings a bigger, band-led sound to the 2012 track, which originally introduced the world to the vocal talents of Sam Smith, who is now one of the most celebrated new names in music for 2014. Frontman Jacob does an admirable job matching Smith's soulful tones, and the band beef up the chorus to sound even bigger than it did on the original.
