Metallica have been named as the third and final headlining at this year's Glastonbury Festival. It hasn't come as much of a surprise, having been rumoured for months and recently revealed by a tabloid, who spilled the festival plans weeks ahead of the official announcement.
Like previous Glasto headliners who don't necessarily fit into the festival headline stereotype (white, mainstream, 20-30, scored a hit album in the previous 12 months) the reaction to a metal band topping the bill at the UK's biggest summer event has been met with scepticism and raised eyebrows, as ticket holders moan about having to listen to classic rock on the Saturday night at the festival.
But just remember, no one wanted Beyonce to headline Glastonbury in 2011 - and look how that turned out.
