It's 2014 and would you believe it, we're really excited about La Roux and think the new Coldplay album is brilliant. What is happening to the world?
The 'comeback' is a regular occurence in music and in fact, sometimes we think bands only announce their split so they can return everyone a few years later with the same old thing and seem shiny and new all over again. It's simple really.
But every now and then, something truly comes out of leftfield and leaves us wondering what decade we are living in. After all, who would have predicted that The Kooks would seem more exciting than ever in this age of the Hadron Collider, UKIP and 3D Printers? Not us, that's for sure.
