New York hotel The Standard have announced they have fired the employee who filmed and leaked footage of Solange Knowles attacking her sister Beyonce's husband, Jay Z, in one of their lifts.
The hotel says the former employee, who has not been named, has been discharged from the company for "breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video."
The news comes as no surprise - the mystery employee filmed footage of a violent scuffle between Solange and Jay Z that appeared on the hotel's security feed, then promptly sold it to gossip site TMZ for a reported $250,000.

The footage surfaced online on Monday May 12 and almost broke the internet. With no audio accompanying the clip, it's a mystery as to why Solange lashed out at her brother-in-law, although many ridiculous theories have already cropped up.
The Knowles-Carter clan are yet to officially comment on the incident, but Mr and Mrs Carter have expanded their co-headlining On The Run US tour, adding two new dates.
