Kasabian have called Glastonbury's decision to book heavy metal legends Metallica as the third and final headliners "bold" - but are confident the band will pull it off.
Speaking to MTV, Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno discussed how surprised everyone was by the unexpected announcement, and even admitted they think Metallica were booked because Prince wasn't available.
"I think everyone was prepared for Prince," Pizzorno said. Bandmate Meighan then added: "I think they ran out of time for Prince. It's quite a bold move Metallica - it's a monster."

The confirmation that Metallica will play the festival on the Saturday evening prompted a mixed reaction from Glastonbury fans - they'll be the first metal band to headline in its 44 year history. However, Pizzorno reckons the Los Angeles quartet will silence critics with a great set, much like Jay Z and Beyonce did at their respective headline shows.
"The thing is no-one's really sure and usually that means something quite amazing will happen," said Pizzorno. "Everyone was panicked about Jay Z and Beyonce, but look what happened."
"These boys, they’re clever, man," Pizzorno added. "They’ve been doing it a long time and there’s a reason why they are who they are. I’m sure they'll pull something out the bag."
Metallica will headline Glastonbury, which takes place June 26 to June 30, alongside Kasabian and Arcade Fire. Tickets are sold out.
