Lorde has stated that she doesn't care if her next album is as big as her debut, Pure Heroine - she'll be happy as long as the she loves the record and it's "cool".
Speaking to Stylist, the 'Team' singer said the commercial success of her sophomore LP is not tantamount to her happiness and growth as an artist.
"To be honest, if the next record I make is really cool and I like it, I can handle it being really big and I can handle it being small," Lorde revealed. "I have to play it every two years so if I love it that's OK."

Previously resting at home in New Zealand with a chest infection, Lorde stepped back into the spotlight on Sunday when she performed at the Billboard Music Awards. She also took home two awards, bagging the Top New Artist gong and, oddly, Top Rock Song for the decidedly un-rocky 'Royals'.
Lorde will be heading to the UK in June to play two dates in London. After tickets to her June 6 show at Brixton Academy sold out, she announced a second date at Shepherd's Bush on June 5. For more information and tickets, visit Gigwise Tickets.
