The Ivor Novello Awards are held today in London, with some of the UK's best musicians and songwriters honoured at the country's most prestigious award ceremonies at a central London bash.

Held at London's Grosvenor Hotel, this years nominees include Arctic Monkeys, London Grammar, Disclosure and more brilliant names who have released first-class records in the past 12 months. Also included on the nominations list are newcomers John Newman and Palma Violets, while artists such as Everything Everything, James Blake, Emeli Sande and even Olly Murs are up for a gong.

The winners will be announced later today (22 May 2014). The full list of nominees is below - and check out who we think should win an Ivor Novello Award underneath.
