Serge Pizzorno has expressed hope that Kasabian's new album will inspire a new generation of rock 'n' roll bands, a genre he believes to be dying out.
In an interview with the Evening Standard, Pizzorno discussed the band's new album 48:12, explaining that he hopes it will push new bands forward.
"It's weird to think of ourselves are one of the last rock 'n' roll bands around, but it's important because there just don't seem to be many left."

He added: "The new record we've done is important because it's our best work yet. It's so much a forward-thinking record. It's a new and futuristic version of a rock band, which is important for kids starting bands, going 'Ah, we don't just have to do that... we can experiment."
Kasabian recently announced a one-off London gig in aid of the War Child charity, and are also set to play London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in June before headlining Glastonbury. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
Kasabian's forthcoming album, 48:13, is to be released on 9 June.
