Foo Fighters have spoken out about what fans can expect from their upcoming string of 'secret' UK club gigs.

Ahead of their massive headline show at this Sunday's Invictus Games closing ceremony, the band have promised fans that they'll be playing three intimate club shows in the UK throughout the week.
So far, the band have confirmed one night in Brighton's Concorde 2 (Wednesday 10 September), and another at London's House Of Vans tomorrow and one more yet to be announced. We asked the band what fans can expect.
"Well, it doesn't sound like they're much of a secret any more," laughed guitarist Chris Shiflett in an interview with Gigwise.
"The major difference between playing the club shows and big festivals is that with the big shows, you're playing so far away from people and the crowd just becomes a giant glob, it's a big mass. I personally find that the smaller club shows are so much more nerve-wracking because the people in the crowd are right there. When you blow it, they know it! There's no hiding. It's an energy in itself."
Guitarist and former Nirvana member Pat Smear continued: "This is the part of the album and TV show that we did too. This band does stuff to keep it interesting and keep it fun. If we only played clubs of this size all the time it would get boring, if we only played stadiums and arenas then it would get boring, so we just like to mix stuff up all the time. It's really exciting to just start playing shows, period."
When asked if the band might debut any new material from upcoming album Sonic Highways, Chris replied: "We can't play the new songs because of the TV show coming out, so we have to keep them under wraps until then, to the best of our ability. We might play a snippet or two, we'll see."
Foo Fighters play a secret gig at Brighton's Concorde 2 tonight and another at London's House Of Vans tomorrow and have promised a further two secret shows this week (including the assumed London date) before they headline London's Invictus Games closing ceremony on Sunday 14 September.
