This week saw the release of Hozier's self-titled debut album, the pay off for months and months of hard graft. It's a great piece of work, heavily infused with soul, an infuence that Andrew "Hozier" Byrne makes no effort to hide - choosing to perform the classic track 'The Dark End Of The Street' for his Gigwise Session.

"The first thing I listen to when I'm listening to music is the lyrics of it," Hozier tells Gigwise. "I really like the lyrics of ['The Dark End Of The Street'], it's a classic soul song. I've never done it for a cover session before".
