Scott Weiland has recorded an album with members of Guns N' Roses and Disturbed - although seems to want to distance himself from the group as soon as it has been announced.
The former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman (until they both kicked him out), has now teamed up with GNR's guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal and Disturbed's bassist John Moyer. Along with twins Jon and Vince Votta on guitar and drums respectively, they make up Art Of Anarchy.
The PR for the band states that Vince Votta came up with the name because it had to be “extreme, uncompromising, and make a bold statement.” It goes on to say that the band will deliver “over-the-top songs that break rock music boundaries with an all-or-nothing attitude.”

Apparently we can expect the album in spring 2015.
However after the announcement was made, Weiland's clarified his role in a message on Facebook. "I just saw some press about a side project called Art of Anarchy that I worked on last year," Weiland wrote. "I wrote and put my vocals down for these guys and had fun doing a couple of videos too; we had a lot of fun."
He won't however be touring with the band. "When they find their front man to hit the road and play some dates, check them out," wrote the singer. "In the meantime, if you want to check out where I’m at RIGHT NOW, check out my band, SCOTT WEILAND AND THE WILDABOUTS." Weiland and his band will be releasing their new album Blaster on 31 March.
