Adele is rumoured to be in talks to take a headline slot at the 2015 Glastonbury festival.

The singer has been a bucketlist act for many festival organisers who have repeatedly beenturned down to the mantra "she doesn't do festivals". Now, a source from the festival's camp has told the Daily Mirror newspaper that this could be the year those rules are broken, but only for Glastonbury.

''Most of the acts have been booked for Glasto but Michael and daughter Emily Eavis are still trying to get Adele for Saturday night," a source told the tabloid. ''She has been on their wishlist for a few years now. Negotiations are ongoing but this is the closest they have got to signing her."

''Several bands that have been booked for Saturday have been told they could be performing before her," they added. It's created quite a buzz.''

They added: "Emily and Michael know what a big deal this would be and they are determined to make it happen.''

A spokesperson for the festival simply respondedd: ''We look forward to announcing the line-up in the late spring.''

If Adele does perform, it'll be her first live performance since 2011. She's believed to be releasing her long-awaited third album later this year.

Meanwhile Michael Eavis has dropped various hints as to who and who isn't in the pipeline. He admitted one has "been around for a long time", but isn't Queen or Fleetwood Mac.

Glastonbury Festival 2015 takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from 24 - 28 June 2015. Lionel Richie is the only act to be confirmed so far, while other rumours include Foo Fighters, Queen + Adam Lambert, Taylor Swift, Elton John, The Libertines, Florence + The Machine, Noel Gallagher, Prince and many more.
