Good news for fans of long hair, guitar solos, classic rock and catsuits - The Darkness are back with a new album and new single. Check out 'Barbarian' from Last Of Our Kind below.
The 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' cock-rockers, who in their time headlined Reading & Leeds Festival and won three BRIT Awards (yes, really), return with their fourth album and new drummer Emily Dolan Davies, after previous sticksman Ed Graham departed in "mysterious circumstances".
Lead single 'Barbarian' has described as frontman Justin Hawkins as "not one but two dramatic monologues, a guitar solo that has been declared 'irresponsible', a riff that weakens lady-knees and a chorus that makes grown men shit directly into their pants."
He added: The lyrics describe the Viking invasion of East Anglia which culminated in the decapitation of Edmund the Martyr. So yeah, classic Darkness.”
It is certainly that.
