Kanye West has been confirmed for a massive performance at the BRIT Awards tonight (Wednesday 25 February), joining the likes of Madonna, Taylor Swift and Royal Blood on the stage.
The ceremony is to be held at The O2 Arena in London, and will be hosted by Geordie TV stalwarts Ant & Dec, while be shown live on ITV and across the world as it's streamed across the BRIT Awards Youtube Channel.
Anticipation is high for Kanye's performance, as the last time he took to the BRIT Awards stage in 2006, he was joined by 77 dancers spray-painted in gold for a medley of ‘Diamonds from Sierra Leone’, ‘Gold Digger’ and ‘Touch The Sky’. Yeezy also has eight BRITs nominations, and three BRIT Awards for International Male Artist to his name to date.
“Kanye West tops off an amazing set of performers at this year's BRIT Awards with some of the biggest British and global stars taking the stage," said Candice Morrissey, Head of YouTube Music Partnerships across Europe. "We're excited to partner with the BRITs again this year so anyone outside of the UK who can't tune in on TV can watch their favourite artists live on the BRITs YouTube channel."
Other huge performances to expect tonight include Madonna, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Paloma Faith,George Ezra, Royal Blood and Take That. Beck has also been nominated for Best International Male, so let's just hope Kanye doesn't have any interruptions in store for him or Swift like his recent GRAMMY Awards stunt.
