In a move that would have seemed unbelievable 12 months ago, Royal Blood have been named Best British Group at the 2015 BRIT Awards - beating the likes of Coldplay and One Direction.
The Brighton duo, who have enjoyed a phenomenal year by scoring a record-breaking No.1 album, selling out countless shows and bringing rock back to mainstream radio, were clearly humbled and stunned when accepting their award from Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page at The O2 in London.
"I suppose we're expected to give a speech now so we'll give it a go," said frontman Mike Kerr. "This is a huge surprise for us, it's probably more of a surprise for everyone here, as you may not even know who we are.
"We started this band two years ago just to have a bit of a laugh and make some music together as friends, and this is huge, so thank you."
