After a less than amicable split from Blink-182 earlier this year, Tom DeLonge has taken to Twitter to make peace with former bandmate Mark Hoppus.
DeLonge left the band in January after Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker released a statement calling him "disrespectful and ungrateful."
DeLonge responded by posting an open letter explaining the fuller story behind his departure (a combination of artistic disagreements and miscommunication) and insisting that he didn't know about the press release announcing his departure until after it made headlines.
He's now taken to Twitter to defuse the tension, insisting, "I will never dislike Mark Hoppus - too many years as my closest friend."
I will never dislike @markhoppus - too many years as my closest friend. I want him to be happy-

DeLonge's forthcoming solo album, To The Stars (subtitled Demos, Odds and Ends), which comprises various unreleased Blink cuts, is set for release on 21 April.
