Blur have announced a one-off London club show for fans to preview their brand new album The Magic Whip in full. See full details below.
Blur have announced an intimate gig on Friday 20 March at 'a West London club' to play their new album The Magic Whip live. Tickets are only available to competition winners via the band's website and the event is also going to be streamed "as live" on 25 March via Beats Music.
Damon Albarn and co's first album in 12 years will be released on 27 April. The album has been in gestation for some time - it began during a break in touring in 2013 in Kowloon Hong Kong. Now after those early demos were worked on by Graham Coxon and Stephen Street and lyrics from Damon Albarn had been added, it can finally be released.
The band took to their official Facebook page to announce the news this afternoon, writing: “Finally, we can confirm that we will be releasing an album, 'The Magic Whip' on April 27th, our first as a four-piece in 16 years!”
