Kanye West will headline Glastonbury for the first time, joining the previously announced Foo Fighters on the top of the bill.
Writing on the festival's official Facebook the announcement was made: "We're very excited to announce that Kanye West will headline the Saturday night at Glastonbury 2015". The rumour had been circulating over the weekend after bookies saw odds go from 12/1 to 2/1, before they were forced to suspend bets.
It is set to be one of the biggest moments of the summer: a genuine hip-hop showman at the top of his game, headlining the biggest festival in the UK. What can we expect? Well a career retrospective, new material from So Help Me God (presumably it's been released by then), special guests aplenty (if Raekwon can come to Koko he can make it to Worthy Farm).
It will also be a chance for those who only know West through his recent award show shenanigans, outrageous quotes and Kardashian-squiring duties quite how good a performer he is. Let's just hope he doesn't go back to the bad old days of Bonnaroo where he didn't come on stage until 4.30am. And naturally expect at least one of the Gallagher's to say something about how he isn't suitable...

West is the second confirmed headliner alongside Foo Fighters, who will play the Pyramid Stage on Worthy Farm on Friday night. Lionel Richie has also been confirmed (as has the Dalai Lama) with both Courtney Barnett and Father John Misty set to play, whilst other rumours include Queen + Adam Lambert, Taylor Swift, Elton John, The Libertines, Noel Gallagher, Prince and many more.
Glastonbury Festival 2015 takes place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from 24 - 28 June 2015.
