After it got picked up by most music publications and ended up trending on Facebook, the petition to cancel Kanye West's Glastonbury headline slot has now gained over 30,000 supporters.
Emily Eavis announced West as the second headliner for the iconic festival, who will join previously announced Foo Fighters - and it was news that went down like a lead balloon with some people (though, we hasten to add, many were delighted).
Neil Lonsdale was so outraged in fact, he started a petition to cancel West's headline slot and "get a rock band." Any rock band will do. Nickelback might be free.
In an interview with Gigwise, Lonsdale described West's BRITs performance as "threatening" and accusing him of "pimping out" his wife Kim Kardashian. He does, however, plan to keep his ticket.
In a recent update to the petition, Lonsdale wrote, "Thanks for signing my petition, but for this to really make an impact, I need you to share it where you can! The Eavis family do great work, but this egotistical, maniacal, disgrace was a clear oversight."
At the time of writing, the petition has 31,455 supporters. By the time you read this, it will probably be much higher.
