Listen to the brilliant new track from the psych-pop band on Gigwise first
Japanese psych-pop band Taffy have revealed the lead single, 'Suicidal Bunny', from their forthcoming EP Darkle. Listen first on Gigwise below.
The four-piece released their third album last year, which they accompanied with a hugely sucessful UK tour. After teasing fans with photos from the studio back in November, they've now comfirmed that their 7-track follow-up EP is set for release in May.
Try too hard to tie Taffy down with labels and genres and you'll find yourself in knots. Their attempts at a description on their Facebook page confirms this: "guitar band? alternative? shoegazer? whatever."
Indeed, 'Suicidal Bunny' is as wonderfully contrary as its name suggests - taking the band's passion for British pop sensibilities and drenching it in fuzzy guitar riffs and irresistibly bubblegum melodies.

Darkle is set for release on 4 May via Club AC30.
