Taylor Swift is reported to have purchased the web URL '.porn' in a bid to stop trolls setting up pornographic websites in her name.
From June onwards, websites will be able to change their URLs to end in more descriptive domain names with words such as '.healthcare' and '.deals' in order to help would-be users find them with greater ease.
Naturally, more NSFW websites will be able to end their domains with words such as '.porn' and such. Now, CNN reports that the 1989 chart-topping superstar has already purchased the domains TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult in a bid to stop those seeking to cash in on her name in a less savoury digital world.
This isn't the first time Swift was forced to react to perverse digital threats. Back in January, her Instagram and Twitter were hacked by people threatening to leak nude photos of the star.
A user identified as Lizzard (who claims to be part of a number of hacker groups including Anonymous) then started an auction for the release of nude photos of Swift. His message read 'Will post Taylor Swift's nudes when this btc wallet hits 3btc'. The singer, taking it in her stride responded with a tweet.
PS any hackers saying they have 'nudes'? Psssh you'd love that wouldn't you! Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING.
