It looks like Black Sabbath are definitely set to split, after Sharon Osbourne described a newly-announced appearance at Ozzfest as the band's "farewell."
The band will close out the festival, which takes place in Makuhari Messe - a Japanese convention centre outside Tokyo - on 22 November.
In a fairly low-budget promotional video announcing the news, Ozzy Osbourne's wife Sharon Osbourne appeared, saying, "This will be Black Sabbath's farewell."

As Ultimate Classic Rock reports, Ozzy already suggested that the band were approaching the end back in September, when he said, "So we're going to do one more album, and a final tour... I believe Rick Rubin is going to di it with us again."
This seems a very unshowy way to announce the band's final ever gig, so it's unclear at this point whether Osbourne was referring to the band's farewell to Japan or to the world.
