27 epic shots of Muse at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend
The band showcased their new album, Drones, in Norwich
23 May 2015: Muse brought their new album to an enthralling set at Radio 1's Big Weekend this weekend in Norwich.
The trio smashed their set at the festival in Norwich kicking off with the intense 'Reapers - which started with a flurry of spiralling guitar-tapping from Matt Bellamy before dropping into a full on thumping riff. The preceding spoken-word segment to 'Psycho' had the crowd instantly shouting back the chant of "aye sir!" to the Drill Seargeant's demands, before the group plunged into the barmy riff of the lead single, accompanied by bassist Chris Wolsthenholme's creepy fuzzy backing vocals.
The group then harked back to old favourites such as 'Supermassive Black Hole' and 'Bliss'. A highlight from the night was new single 'Mercy' which featured an explosion of confetti and stunning visuals.
